I just bought a motorcraft PCV and when I blow thru it, it lets air both ways, I can tip it and monkey with it but it doesn't seem to restrict any particular direction.
ok so I figured it out. Whats happening is the check ball is loose but it has a spring loaded sleeve that with enough vacuum, slides up and closes off the flow.
you can push up from the bottom with a small precision screwdriver to actuate the spring mechanism.
So just blowing or sucking wont do it like the old style ones I remember.
