I have a Ford 9" narrowed to 60" WMS to WMS with disk brakes, 35 spline axles, detroit locker and "N" case. Use it or sell it? My 89 GT has the 8.8 Is the 8.8 up to the task of a 8lb blown, 347 stroker? Maybe 450 horses, 450 ftlbs of torque?

I know the tranny and driveline are not, would upgrade those.

Depends on how good you are at welding in rear supention. I would do it personaly, because I hate c-clips with all my heart, expecialy in high performance cars. There are pleantly of guys running that much power through stock 8.8's, but if you got it why not? I can't remeber if 60" is the right width, so you might want to double check. Just make sure you are good at back halfing a car, there is no need to make an abortion out of it.

are you sure it's 5x 5.5? I am pretty sure that is the truck pattern, all the 5 lug mustang stuff is 5x 4.5. I would just weld up and re-drill your rear axleshafts, just make sure everything is centered

one nice thing about the 9' is that the front carrier sections can be swapped. So if you have one with a 3.73 for nice weeday commute, you can easily have another laying in your garage with a 4.11 or 4.30 for the weekend strip time.
