Sorry if this is a repost guys, but I thought I would share the news. I read (I think on RPM) that the refresh in 09 (?) would not carry the coolest feature on the car! I know it's because of the patent infringment issue, but still that was the only option the car had to make it modern.

Only option that "makes it modern" ? In my opinion, that option was about as useless as............... Well I'll just keep that to myself

I also think My Color is very overrated. Big deal. It was fun to play with for about 10 seconds. Give me a hook-up for an ipod. That I would really value.

I personally love MyColor. I still have fun with it. If anything, it's greatest use to me was to NOT have a green dash... I just don't like green.

But I will say this... I bought the IUP because of the silver accents, message center, & 2 extra gauges; the MyColor was just an added bonus. If MyColor would have been a separate option, I would not have bought it even if it meant living with green gauges.

Yeah, the MyColor isn't that big a deal to me. I have it, but don't use it.

See, I would have bought the interior package only because of the Mycolor feature....

And as for modern, I mean that because the car lacks options like Navigation, XM or Sirius, i-Pod friendly radio, etc. Lets face it: ABS, airbags and all that other stuff are pretty much standard equipment now a days. So without this one feature what else is there to the car? Red seats?

p.s. I am not knocking it, I'd still like to get one one day...

i have the standard dash, but plan to upgrade to the deluxe cluster. i just want it for the message center. the my color would be an added bonus. if the guages would stay white, i would be happy. i dont need 125 colors.

My car was ordered without the MyColor option (by the dealer). I wish I had it now, bit not for the color-changing ability - I just want the extra guages instead of idiot lights..

If anyone with a GT wants to swap their MyColor dash for one without it - let me know!

It's all speculation that was startedby Mustang Weekly.

Nothing is certain, but if My Color does go away I could care less. Give me 30 more HP, IRS, heated seats, stability control, hidden radio antenna or anything that is useful instead of that silly color changing dashboard.

Same here, I love the white. There's a "white" option in the MyColor scheme, but it is DEFINITELY not the same white that the gauges are when the headlights are off.

The beauty of MyColor is that you can change it and create the exact white that you are seeking.

what is the combo for it? I've tried to duplicate it and it doesn't look nearly as white as they do otherwise. I looked at the MyColor chart on TheMustangSource, and the closest is 5-5-5... but in my car it doesn't like as white.

My color adds no value to the car. The extra gauges are cool, but arent needed.

My color does have a lot of "WOW" factor when your showing it off to older family or friends! My Girlfriends father who is 78 and is a retired mechanic is seriously impressed, but his newest vehicle is a 75 Chevy truck. I have it in mine, so I'll keep it, if I had to wait longer to get it if ordering a Stang, I would omit.

The 2 extra gauges on the Mycolor dash are just dressed up idiot lights anyway.

Everybody I've shown it to reacted with a big "Wow"/"Cool" and I really like changing colors every so often so it's an awesome feature. I can see were some people would not be interested so for them it's just bs but I'm sure glad I have it.

You just don't understand what a Stang is about. You need to buy a "Beemer" if you want all that other crap. The whole point to the new Stang was a return to the styling and performance of the 60's models but updated to modern standards of performance and handling. It just wasn't meant to be a "gee-whiz-wow" car filled with every device known to man.

Beemer and Beamer refer to the bike and Bimmer refers to the car, afaik

I'm a fan of things that keep my interest or busy, I like the colored dash, and will get it on mine if available then.

Best not to remove cool options like MyColor, particularly for attracting the non-enthusiasts. To me, it's one of those features that attracts me to the car, and I'm not even a female.
