Ford H.D. Clutch or King Cobra kit?

I've used both the HD and KC cluthes and liked both. I might try another one this time around, but if those are in your price range -- either one will work great.

i hear bad things about spec...rattling mainly...i dont need that kinda stress lol. got enough squeeks to deal with. isn't the spec stage 1 equivlent to the KC?

na, the spec stage 1 grabs like an on off switch, and is everything the kc wish it could be.

problem is, though that the stage 1 is still an organic disc, is VERY prone to chattering, i've heard of quite a bit of complaints from the stage 1's,but not as many from the stage 2's

I don't think you can beat the kc for reliability and consistency.

i went with the KC, i figure the mustang is still very stock and won't have more hp then that kc can handle for a while.

I lunch my king cobra at 5000rpm on M/T rubber and it hook great!

I just installed my KC over the weekend, and after about 100 miles, it feels great, so much better than stock. Pressure plate is thick as hell, needed to go and buy longer bolts just to install it.

are you sure got it mounted properly??

I know for a fact the pressure place is the exact same thickness mounting wise as an oem plate and useds the oem bolts

it wouldn't suprise me if the bolts that came out of the car weren't oem, the ones that came off the flywheel were too short, which was causing oil to come out and the clutch slip
