I wanna build a 331 and was reading up on the mexican block and i want to make 700-800hp i was going to go with the dart block but cost a ton of money, now will that mexican block be able to handle a blower or turbo setup, with afr 205cc heads and custom grind cam, scat crank, je pistons, and eagle h beams?? will this block do it for me?

the answer is yes..and no. Depends on your tuning. I have a stock block that is pretty close to your specs and run a turbo pushing around 650 hp on 11 psi boost. worked fine until i forgot to put the rpm limiter chip in the MSD box and went past the tuning to about 6400 rpm, bye bye to the block.
The dart blocks are expensive, but well worth the $ over 500 hp levels.

Think of mexican blocks as a little extra insurance over stock blocks at around 600 hp. Yes, you can make 700 or 800 with them, but I wouldn't plan it out that way from the beginning. You're better off with a 351W, which would be much more cost-effective at that power level. Not to mention, that would be a much better match for AFR205s...

I think if I were looking at those kinds of power levels I would take a serious look at ford racing's new BOSS block... cheaper than the dart and still a pretty beefy casting. Just my opinion.... MM&FF did a project car with one:

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
