I had those axle-backs for a few months before the hangars rusted off them

They sound a little different than the stock, slightly more "bass-y". They're also barely louder than stock unless coupled with an aftermarket x-pipe or h-pipe.

GTA's or Magnaflows sound like stock, just deeper and a bit louder. Even with an off road pipe, though, they're still relatively quiet. But, they don't drone.

I have the GTA's and absolutely love the sound. For a review, complete with sound clips, look here:

I love the sound! They are a little bit louder than stock.. and there isn't any drone. When you first start the car they sound amazing. And as far as WOT.. well.....

I know that most of the Shelby GT guys are completely happy as well...

Drove in to work this morning. NO drone inside cabin. Slightly louder and deeper than stock. These mufflers were broken in as they had a couple of thousand miles on them. Also, the tips look better than stock. These were exactly what I was looking for - slightly louder, deeper, no drone and better tips.

Went outside at lunch with co-worker and revved the engine. Co-worker comfirmed louder and deeper - not stock but no too loud.

i ASSUME THE M-5230-GTA IS THE EXHAUST THAT COMES ON MY 2008 GT WITH THE GT UPGRADE APPERANCE PKG? I HAVE THE DIFFERENT MUFFLERS WITH THE ROLLED POLISHED TIPS ECT. AND IT IS THE ONLY OTHER EXHAUST OFFERED IN THE FRPP CATALOG BESIDES THE STINGERS.

IF SO I AM HAPPY WITH THEM THEY HAVE A DECENT TONE BUT I THINK I WANT TO ADD AN OFFROAD H-PIPE (I HEARD HPIPES ARE BETTER WITH CHAMBERED MUFFLERS THAN X PIPES.)

SORRY FOR THE CAPS

I'm thinking about ordering the stingers. I have to sell these now. But I'm satisfied with the sound, some day I'll change axle back.

No, the mufflers (m-5230-GTA) are standard on the shelby GT. Your GT with the GT apperance pkg only adds chrome tips to the standard GT muffler. Sound is unchanged. There is a HUGE difference in the sound and apperance between the GTA's and the stock mufflers. GTAs have LARGE 4" double walled tips. Really fill the entire opening nicely on the bumper cutout unlike the stockers (chrome tipped or regular slant cut stainless).

The GTAs are a considerably louder/throater exhaust vs. stock.
