Looking for some info on this water pump:
Part#: M-8501-B50

I bought a bunch of stuff from this guy and he threw this in for $50 bucks. I'm going to swap out my cam so I figured I could possibly use this. But I can't seem to find too much information on this. Looks like they don't make it anymore.

Does anyone know much about this water pump?
What does reverse rotation mean?

Thanks!

Reverse rotation is for serpentine systems (like came stock on 87-93 V8's).

But your right...it is not listed in the 2010 Ford Racing catalog.

A reverse rotation pump is needed due to the serpentine belt configuration. Now if you delete some of the pulleys (ie: smog pump, a/c, belt tensioner, etc....) a reverse pump may not be needed depending on the alignment of the remaining pulleys.

well I've bought two of them and both times they had motorcraft stickers. so they are good pumps but nothing like a high flow pump or anything. at least that's been my experience. running one right now on my supercharged 331, works great
