i Have an 04 gt with 10k miles on it. i was washing my car yesterday and noticed the clear coat coming off on one of the rims and on another rim it had that rim stuff on it. anyone know what im talking about about the white stuff. it looks like corrosion. very common on ford rims. would these be covered in the factory ford warranty??

WRONG!!! I also have an '04GT and the clearcoat wasbreaking up on one wheel. Dealer ordered a new wheel under 3year/36,000 mile warranty. No questions /no problem. Wheel was replaced 2 months ago.

I'm totally surprised a stealership would cover something like this. With so many caustic wheel cleaners available today I just assumed Ford would handle it the way they do most warranty issues these days... with a big FU to the consumer.
