From my understanding, 93 was the first year they came with hypereutectic pistons.

It is said the last two months of the '92 production run also had hypers (so all 93's have them).

yep yep you have hyper's but don't dispair those pistons are still really tough. You can put quite a bit of boost or nitrous to hyper pistons. Aslong as you have it tuned properly.

Very true. Lots of people seem to freak out that the 93s have hypers. If you run boost or N20 just keep the tune a little conservative and you will be fine. If you run it right on the ragged edge then yeah you run the risk of problems. As soon as I swap the 3k stall converter into my AOD I am gonna bump it up to a 150 shot and see how it goes.

i know a guy who ran a hellion turbo kit @ 12 psi on a hyper stuffed block for a year with no problems. he actually wrecked the car sold the kit and now i have the block. its all in the tune. just don't run it too lean and there is no need for forged.

Also, I believe black oil pans are hyper, and gray oil pans are forged.

Keep the tune safe and more than likely the block and rods will go before them hyper pistons anyways...
