Forged pistons (Speed pro) vs hyper pistons (kenny Black)

hey I am looking at getting a 306 done up. anyways i MIGHT supercharge it one day. I am told the Kenny Black hyper pistons could handle a supercharger with no problems. anyways, i dont want to risk it; I would like answers first.
I am looking at Kenny Black hyper pistons http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=6206&from=MG and Speed-pro forged pistons http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=6588&from=MG

is it worth spending the extra $59 to get a set of the speed-pro forged pistons? or are the Kenny Black pistons good enough?

they are both 3.00 in. stroke, 5.090 in. connecting rod. Is this correct for stock stroke and connecting rod?

for an extra $60 bux.....go with the forged. The Keith Black hypers will likely do (they're not as weak as most think), but unless you're pinching every penny, for the difference in money the forged slugs are where it's at.

The major advantages to the hypers are that they're obviously less expensive. And because of their blended silicone compound, their expansion rate isn't as great as that of forged and as a result they are built with closer tolerances which allow them to seal better allowing for less blow by and quieter operation.

But still, when you really start putting the power to it, I'd rather have the forged pistons in there.

If you go with the Hyper-Pathetics, youll never be able to use Nitrous if that is ever in your future. when i orked at summit, we got more boxes of Keith Blacks back then almost any other part.

that is simply not true. granted, the hypers are much weaker and therefore more likely to break, but if you have a good/safe tune there shouldn't be a problem.

my buddy ran keith black domes with a 200 hundred shot put out over 600 rwhp with a 306 and the pistons took everybit of it
