Well as you guys know I am always trying to come up with new ideas and projects to do to the stang. I have been working on a few things for the last week or two (on weekends). I came across some chrome looking caps that my brother had laying around and got an idea. I decided to use them to plug the holes in the calipers, to basically clean up the look. Below is a pic before and after. Then I decided the chrome was too much (actually my buddy chris suggested it) so I decided to scuff them up and paint them to match the caliper. The orange is a little off because I need to clean the brake dust off the caliper but you get the idea. What do you guys think?

Just a heads up, I have enough extras for two more cars if anyone is interested. I am going to ask my brother where he got them and see about getting more, I think they really clean up the look. I will keep you posted on if I find more. Enough talk, here are the pics.

Before:

After:

Matching paint, I still need to clean the brake dust off the caliper and it will look like the paint actually matches:

Dude, that's great! I just picked up the bigger brakes/rotors last Summer and think something like that would like great with my chrome wheels. If you're looking to send some out I'm interested. Nice work.

good thinking man but to be 100% honest, every single thing on your car is amazing, but im just not diggin those....your car has the most attention to detail of any car on here, so thats not a dis at all....

i think the fact that the bolt holes are covered is what gets me....i think it gives the car a more industrial look, and thats why they were engineered that way....again, not a dis at all but i think it makes the calipers look cheap even though they aren't....its the only thing on your entire car that dissapoints me, otherwise id give my left nut for your car

i agree with stprorolla on this one. something about those just look a little wierd to me. i think that is has to do with me not being able to get past the shade difference in them. (i know the are the same, just dirty.) i think they may look good with the caps black and "COBRA" in black as well. here is my crappy paint photoshop of it. yea, and dont take any offense to that it is just my opinion on it, and i love every other little thing you have done thus far.

I think those are Cobra R calipers, so yes, they will bolt on.

69Clark--What year Cobra calipers are those? I have the same thing and I have no idea what year they are from of what it will take to put them on my 94 GT. I assume, just bolt them up?

They are stock on my 95. I don't know if they will bolt up or not, they are 13" rotors, but someone on here that has done the swap maybe able to help.

How about putting a Cobra snake of both of them. I'm sure someone can air brush them on. That would probably look slick. I had a guy make some stickers/decals for my Supra rims years ago - looked good.

Hmmm, me likey this idea. If done in a subtle way, it could look really nice.
