One of the guys at work has a book featuring Mustangs, Corvettes, and Thunderbirds. While leafing through it, I found this car, supposedly 1 of 13 69 Cobra Jet Ram Air Convertibles! And the Icing on the cake is that it is Indian Fire!

If I had Kept Chepsk8, this is pretty much how it would have ended up, except probably having 15" Magnums or Torque Thrusts for Wheels.

Sorry for the poor image quality, my scanner is not very good. Just thought I'd pass it along! BTW, no more contact from chepie's new owner, so I have no more updates on it. the cobra is slowly progressing, finished converting the rear to 3.55, 5-Lug disc brakes, and now installing the suspension in the Chassis! Working on a new website to post pics, but nothing up yet.

Damn, do I miss having a convertible now that the good weather is here.... :bang:

in 1996 at SAAC 22 in Indianapolis, I saw two 69 CJ 'Verts.

1 was a silver-blue GT, looked somewhat like yours, same wheels, hood, striping, etc., white top & interior, loaded fairly well, I think an auto.

The other was a plain all black car, SCJ Drag-pack 4-speed, dog dish hub caps, an ex-drag car. Apparently, back then in NHRA Stock & Super Stock, the convertible's extra weight put it in a more favorable weight class!
