Have no clue why I cant get all these in , but stick with me.
The first is an example of bodywork done prior to me owning the car. Its hard to see, but they sanded out the area, taped it off and painted it. Dont do this. Taping leaves lines. The best way is to do a total repaint. The second best way (if your patient ) is to sand out the rust/dent or scratch with a heavy grit and then feather the area out past the point. With Fords "e" (read etching primer" you will see three colors with a wide gap of seperation. Etch the area (taping off any windows etc) prime it seal it color it and cleaqr it. If you featherd it out enough, youll be able to feather the new clear to blend in with the old (1500 grit-2000). Then use a non silcone based buffing polish.
The Second photo is to show another point. The previous owner re-painted the lowers silver. He did it with the right intentions and even used primer. Unfortunately he didnt prep the paint underneath. He actuall painted over some lite tar spots. All of this includeing moisture under the ground effects caused a whole hell of alot of rust.

Moral of this story? We don't require a 3 part saga for the same topic.

I appreciate it Mustang Joe.
My bad Daggar...I'll make sure to add to the first one next time. Figured people would recognize the title. I'd like to put it all under a title for body work. If you can help I'll retitle it and add some pointers in as I complete. Unfortunately, few do their own work in this area.
