Can anyone tell me if this piece is still made? I am looking for the passenger's side.

If not, does anyone have a parts car and would you be willing to cut that piece out and ship it? I don't mind paying, just need to replace my rusted area. Fox Bodies are hard to find in the few junk yards we have here.

Chris

I borrowed this picture, this is not my car. Mine is all rusted in this area.

Mine is only two inches though.

You may want to give PPI (http://www.performancepartsinc.com/) a call. At least you'll know that you're dealing with a place that knows Mustangs. Note, PPI is not a low-cost place. But, IMHO, if you want to make sure you get the right Stang part and it's it decent shape, you can pay a little more by buying from PPI, or you can take your chances with general junk yards that don't know *** about Stangs, nor do they give a rat's *ss if they screw you. And, trust me, I know from experience!

PPI has a good reputation and does a very good job at keeping a good reputation. So, like I said, pay a little more and get it from PPI, or go play the lottery - your choice. Of course, if you could get it locally, that would be the best.

BTW, there is also http://www.mpsautosalvage.com/ . But, I've never personally dealt with them. But, I haven't read/heard bad things about them. And, what I have read has been good.

Good Luck!

wait, wut? You've been on mustang sites HOW long, and never heard anything bad about MPS? That is seriously laugh-out-loud funny. They've left a trail of mis-described parts and ty customer service over 10 years long, and they've knowingly and proudly given retaliatory feedback on ebay and elsewhere for people who tell the truth about how they got screwed by MPS. MPS stands for Mostly Pushing , or Mount, Penetrate, and Shaft. I would find my parts elsewhere. ANYWHERE.

MFE, thanks for the correction!
Now that you mention it, I do kinda remember non-good things about MPS. However, to be honest, I never noticed that much, and I figure that a lot of stuff by newer members is them bitching about unrealistic expectations.

So, with the update by MFE, my suggestion is PPI (if possible). And, use MPS at your own risk.

I've personally bought a number of things from PPI over many years. They have been constantly higher price, but I get what I want, and they are very careful not to ship junk. Also, I've found the people at PPI to be very helpful. Of course, things may have changed.

As a side note, what's interesting is that PPI and MPS where "the only games in town" before the Internet became so prevalent. Then, ebay was a great place for stuff. However, now with the way ebay is (mostly professional sellers), unless you can get a "safe stock part" through car-parts.com, it's back to PPI and MPS.
