I don't care what anybody says, drifting is cool! If you can watch that video with the Fox bouncing off the rev limiter and the car so far sideways it's taking up both lanes and you AREN'T entertained, you don't have a pulse.

I would have gone with two rectangular exhaust tips.

At work so can't watch. When we say drifting, are we talking about powerslides during racing or choreographed ballet? Wouldn't a formula one style setup be faster?

It's only an inch or two. What's the big deal?

I think the whole drifting craze is funny how it's been tagged "drifting" and is now a competetive sport. In the 80's when we'd get bored with drag racing that's what we'd do. Only we just called it goofing off.

Now, it's hey! check out this cool new sport called drifting! WOW!

If we are talking about powerslide racing than sprint car racing is alot older than that.

It makes sense that it evolved into a competitive sport. You KNOW at some point, one of those bored drag racers turned to his buddy and said "I bet I can keep my car sideways longer through this turn than you can".

Ans competitive drifting was born.

Haha, yep. NASCAR was a bunch of moonshine runners that got together to see whose car was faster.

As cool as NASCAR's roots are, it sure ended up being retarded.

NASCAR's roots are a bunch of rednecks, and well, its not a whole lot different... But alot can be said about cup technology trickling down to street car stuff and making things more reliable.

The cup cars bore me to death most of the time, but the Modifieds are where its at excitement wise. When i was in bristol, the lap times were a couple seconds faster than the cup stuff, and were talking about around 15 second laps here, they were doing like 180 on the straights, which is nuts for a 1/2 mile track

drifting got started in japan as those who traveled the mountains found quicker ways to get down the hill.

i remember here in the state when it was called "sail boating" when you drifted around a turn on the road course.

I still say it was bored teenagers. I don't think Japan beat us to anything except vending machines that sell used panties....

Drifting on pavement is "good" (terrific car control, there!), but when things get dirty, muddy and frozen, THAT'S when drifting really gets good!

Cobra- Yeah... Best Wishes and sincere condolences to all those affected in Japan by this disaster.
