Anybody here running a Fox body Radiator? I plan on putting in one in my 66 but was wondering what electric fan will work/be best with this size radiator. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone has pics of a fox body radiator in a 65-66 Mustang that would be great also. Thanks

I used a fox body radiator in my 66, send pics later. I did cut the bulge part of the support, wasn't necessary though. Just makesa for a better fit. I'm running a permacool electric fan 16in. puller and it fits great. was using the plastic type from kragen and it was close to the water pump snout. Oh, I did run into an issure at the bottom of the radiator. The fender aprons taper in on the way down, and are a bit tight for the radiator, actually too tight for it to fit flush. I took a hammer and massaged to bottom corners a bit. About 1/2 inch total. It slips in fine. 1 last thing, I had to trim the top of the radiator support where it folds towards the driver seat so that I could remove the radiator cap. For the water pump, I used a 70 Stang with the exit on the drivers side, if you use a fox body pump you need the pulley setup too cause its reverse rotation. I did use an old style and turned the curved hose towards the balancer and used an exhause fitting from checkers to reduce the 1.75? hose to 1.5? hose and put a smaller fleax hose off that and ran it to the radiator. Sorry for the run-ons, I'm in Hawaii, its late, and hirlfriend is calling. Good luck, oh, it does stay cooler.

there actually is a late model rad that has brackets welded to the tanks so you can bolt the rad into an early stang. i forget who makes it off hand though. you do have to use a late modle water pump though(pre-serpentine belt) but htat is no big deal. as far as an electric fan, use the same black magic fan the late model guys use(the 175 i believe).
