Will the stock 5.0 shorty headers fit in a 66 Mustang?

I've got an '88 GT and I'm thinking that it may just work, but I'd sure like to hear from someone who knows, since I'd like to do the same in my '68.

I have a set of 94 Cobra shorties....I can try to fit them in the 66 fastback project car in the garage but I don't think they are going to work. Even if they did they suck compared to the $89 shorties people always talk about from Summit.

Nope....not going to work. The driver's side one hits the shock tower and the steering box long before it gets close to lining up. I didn't even try the passenger side one.

Ron that would be much appreciated. I'm not planning on using them. I'm working on selling a couple of extra sets and one of the interested parties owns a 66 'Stang.

I have a set of 1993 shorty headers on a 1993 5.0 FI 5spd in my 1970 f/b Mustang - everything is factory stock - even the 1970 motor mounts - the car has a/c, p/s and no p/b - I was able to use the factory 1993 shorty headers without mods on the passenger side but the driver side had to be cut at the collector area and re-positioned about an inch or so - I am cheap I guess - otherwise I could have bought a set of JBA shorty headers for nearly 400.00 that are supposed to fit a 302 without any mods.....
