For the life of me, i cant find a "how-to" on how to align/adjust a fox coupe trunk rear deck lid...is there a technique or a specific pattern to follow? i see all the bolts to make the adjustment (latches, hinges) but i cant seem to do it. my deck lid, when closed, is lower on the driver side, so when closed it hangs down a little past the body...kida irks me. Anybody know the tricks to doing this? TIA

Grab it with two hands and literally twist it in the direction you want it to go in.

Are the rubber bumpers still on the trunk lid?

I had the passenger side one on, but I don't have a driver side one, still closed lower on the passenger side. I took it off and and still closed the same. I don't think the rubber bumper I had one was even doing anything to aid in the alignment.

I had the same issue with my 84 coupe. I twisted the hinge (trunk lid off) just a bit. When I put the bumpers back in it lined up pretty well. Not perfect, but better. Someone suggested putting a 2x4 under one side and pressing down on the other. I remember a couple threads on here a while back.
