Hey guys, I've got Fox Lake Stage 2 heads and Comp Cams XE262AH (.545 lift, Avg dur: @ .006- Int/Exh= 261/265, @ .050- 226/230). My family has never had a car in the shop, and have worked on everything from Mustangs to Mazdas, motorhomes to motorcycles. Is this something that i could be able to tackle, having not torn into a modular engine yet? How radical are these cams in OH engines? This is my daily driver (2k/ month) Any info would be great.

The actual headswap is not that difficult...it is tedius and time consuming but not hard. The cams should be degreed in to prevent PTV-piston to valve contact. heres a how to article on degree'ing cams.

don't let the valves hit the pistons!!!!!

careful for first time. they are similar to 1.9l escort as far as torque to yield and PTV hassles. take your time and if you have doubts get help before turning it over.

good for you to make the plunge and not jerk around. get 4.30's to go with that cam.
