Someone also said that you have to bend the door paneling.

Remove inner door panel. I don't know what it takes on the earlier cars, but it won't be difficult. Remove any screws holding the door panel to the door, remove the window crank, etc. Once the panel is off, you will have to remove the rivets holding the window to the regulator. My favorite way to do this is to use a center punch to knock out the center of the rivet, then drill it out the rest of the way.

A word of advice on the window tinting. When you go to reinstall the window, the hardest part is actually getting the window back into the door. It is no problem normally, but with tint on the inside it will often catch along the metal door frame, tear your tint, and screw you royally. Ask me how I know!

When re-installing, it helps to put several layers of masking tape along the metal edge of the door (where the window will slide in, obviously) to help protect your tint as you reinstall the window.

I'm trying to ask a question. I always remove windows in my cars when I tint them. That's because I want every piece of glass covered... It's my OCD I guess... Yet people on here thinks their sh!t don't stink and bring there stupid comments on a thread that I made.

It's a hell of a lot easier to just remove the dew wipes to do the tint if you're worried about it showing.
