Hi I have a 98 gt and wanna either buy a foxbody or swap a foxbody 5.0 into my gt. I like my body style and was wondering if this was possible? Thanks I really need help
Yes, it's possible, and I think it's been done but I think it is going backwards, that 4.6 loves boost and will give you more streetable hp, but that is an area I have no personal experience with but I am looking at getting into one so been do'n some reading up on them.
I'm thinking it would cost you more to swap in a pushrod 5.0 into your mustang than what it "might" be worth.
In your shoes I would either sell your car and get a fox if you want pushrod power (and believe me, I'm not knocking that idea) or just decide to build your 4.6 into a bad little mother. It would probably be easier to keep what you've got and make it badass.
As far as that goes, why settle for a 5.0? Get a 351 if you want pushrod, much better platform to build a hot rod on. Not really any more money than to swap to a 5.0 as well.
Which style of mustang do you like better? SN95 or Fox?
