fr500 heads

can anyone tell me about the fr500 heads....I am thinking about swapping to them but with stock cams is it worth it? What do you think? What do you think the gains that I will see?

The FR500's flow a lot better on the intake side at lower lifts than the 99-01 heads do but are pretty similar flow-wise at higher lifts...They flow a lot better than the 99-01's on the exhaust side at higher lifts, while being similar at low lifts...

I think you would want the FR500 sticks to go with them though as the stock ones might not really get gain you much...I think with both the heads and the cams people are seeing about 25-30rwhp gains...

03 Cobra/Mach heads flow about as well as FR500 heads and cost a lot less. You can get a pair for $500 or so used.

alright cool...sorry for the triple post but the server lags and sends it too many times.....$500 used huh that's good....are they aluminum still though???

Yep

http://karkraft.com usually has them, but I don't see any on there for sale right now...When they do, look for the Mach1 heads since they list them for less and they are the same thing, and they usually come with cams and valve train too...
