Nope it wasn't to bad, It took me a while to figure out the damn steering wheel puller, but after that it was smooth sailing. (I followed the Mustang World directions). The only thing is the first time I put it all back together the wheel was off centre so I pulled it off and now it's way closer but it's still just a tiny bit off, it's hardly noticeable, but I was thinking getting a wheel alignment would fix it... is that a correct thought?

I hate to say this but, I'd be a little nervous about straightening the wheel through a wheel alignment if it's out very much as it may put the steering box off centre, which inturn may cause your Stang to pull to one side, instead of staying centred. Might be a good idea to run it past the wheel alignment guy and see what he says just incase.

Like I said it is hardly noticeable, I just notice it cause I'm one of those super details people! The thing that's hard about getting it perfect is there is a little dot on the steering shaft and there is a mark about a qauter inch big on the wheel. The first time it was noticably off now it's just a hair. So where it is now I can totally live with. I don't even think most people would notice that it's off.

Oh Ok, I was thinking like an 1/8 to 1/4 turn or something. Glad you got 'er swapped out with no big issues,but it would be rather exasperating to get it all together and have to pull it off to straighten it again though [Arrrrrgg!!!] Being that it's just a tiny bit, I'm sure you'll be fine to have the wheel alignment people fix it up. It Looks great!!

It's actually a really easy job to complete! All I had to do to readjust it was take off the air bag and then undo one screw and then use the steering wheel puller to pop it off and then adjust it and then put the screw back in and test drive it.

You should seriously think about doing the job yourself. I rented the puller from part source and you need a #50 torx bit and just a bunch of regular tools.
