The fifth wheel that came matched the other three darker Hypercoated. They were a little darker than I expected or wanted but I think they look pretty damn good on the car. I'm not disappointed with them at all

There is a big difference in both handling and off the line. I doubt much of that is due to the increased size of the rims though. I now have far better tires than I had on the vehicle before (I ran Fuzion's). The front has better traction and heat rating and the rear drag radials hook far better.

The thing that surprised me the most was that the ride is even better even after loosing 1" of sidewall. I think that can be attributed to the better tires as well.

The rims were $679 and the tires were $940. I got lucky though because I got the tire from a friends for 10% over cost and they mounted, balanced, and filled with nitrogen for free (Plus no tax). So I guess I'm into it just over $1600.

The wheels look great on your stang. But they sure make the stock rotors look small. lol I'm surprised I haven't seen you around town. Although it looks like you live in Saugus, near Agajanian and Copper Hill.

It's more thermally stable. Normal air has moisture and other traces which lead to corrosion and pressure changes. And IIRC it's less likely to leak out (larger molecules).

That said, there is some reason for not running it but I cant remember what that was (Ben had some info from BWM [a TSB type thing] suggesting not to use nitrogen).

I'd use it if it was cheap and I had a means of filling tires myself.

I'm not to well versed on all the ins and outs either, but those are the same basic advantages that I know about nitrogen. The place I bought my tires from do a lot of high end Mercedes AMG, Viper, Range Rover, Jaguar, Aston Martin, etc type stuff and that's what they always use. They put it in for free so why give up the advantages for no extra cost

And thank you all again for the praise and compliments!!!

Your car looks amazing! Kinda the look I'm working on, still don't know if I want to go with chrome or hypercoted fr's but your car has me leaning towards hypercoated.

I think the rear FR500 rim in chrome looks good but not the front one with no lip. That's what made me lean towards Hypercoated.

Looks good!

And the reason I wouldn't put nitrogen in my tires is I like to change the tire pressure a lot while at the track. Makes it a bit inconvenient.

Those are the perfect wheels for your ride man.

Do you have any closeups of the wheels themselves? I am looking to put those on my own ride.

I need to drop my car... This is why I am staying away from the site... Because there is so much i want to do and had it not been for that scam I would have had my car dropped already and front and rear cobra brakes and been working on getting my midpipe and headers.

Damn straight!!!!! When the sun hits that metallic paint it looks bitch'in. Now that I have them I wouldn't prefer any other type of finish.

Two coats of nightshades with minimal wet sanding and then two coats of clear followed by some more wet sanding. My coats weren't that thick because I didn't really want them blacked out all the way. It really just dulled down the red A LOT. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out but it isn't as easy as just painting it on. To make it look good you really need to wet sand and buff it a lot. Mine could still use some more.
