I was told by my friends dad that the New S197 Mustangs are known to have the frames bend because they are too weak, is this true?? I have not heard of this problem. Also if this is true can it be fixed or corrected?? Please help. I think he is BSing my cause he doesn't like Mustangs. Thank you.

Sounds like your friend or friend's dad is jealous of your new Mustang. You've just learned a good lesson that a a lot of people are a**holes and will do anything to make you feel bad about your new car (or anything good that happens to you).
Mustangs have NEVER had a frame. Every Mustang since the 1965 model have been unibodies.
Considering that the frame, er, I mean unibody structure of the S197 is around 50% stronger than the SN95 I'd tell your friend's father to not be such a s***head.

Actually I may be getting a GT if things work out. The only performance mods the Prowler has are a K&N intake and Borla exhaust. Also my friend is getting an SRT4 and is buying the Stage 3 kit for it. What mods for a GT or V6 Mustang would I need to whoop him. The Stage 3 kit brings it to 310hp. Thanks for clearing this up.

If he's honestly getting the stage three, you'll need a blower on the GT. Or, a @#@% expensive custom turbo kit on a V6. Either way, forced induction is an expensive step to take.
SRT-4's are no joke right off the showroom floor. Best bang for the buck you can get, just so you don't plan to have it after the warranty is up. But they're little beasts while they last!
Also, I doubt he'll find his warranty intact if he installs any of the Mopar upgrade kits. I'd be completely stunned if Dodge continued the coverage with a stage three taking his 4-banger to...what is it rated...360 HP?

Yeah, check out the warranty link info at the bottom of the Stage 3 page. Performance parts carry no warranty. Also, same thing the manufacturers always say: Adding performance parts doesn't void the warranty by itself, but does for any damage caused by the addition of these parts. So, you take your chances. Make sure your friend understands what he's getting into!

Just keep all the stock parts if you modify anything. Then switch it out if you blow it up and play dumb... "I was drivin' it n it just quit"

Now all you have to worry about while driving your GT is getting hauled away for stealing your own car!
Obviously go with the mustang GT if you're going for speed. I don't understand the drive to outrace a V8 with an I4.
