Does anyone have the frd-04 aux installed in there 06 GT Mustang? I just received mine today but wanted to make sure I do it right. Where do you plug the 12v constant wire? Any info will help. Thanks!

it works, i did it. to answer your specific question, i tapped both wires into the leads going into the power point as shown in the install instructions; bought the taps at a local hardware store and works like a charm; although i have the new frd04-pod/s which works only for an ipod through the radio. good luck.

I hope your install goes better than mine. I dicked around for 4 hours with my install until I came to the conclusion that I had a DOA box in the kit. I am waiting for discount car stereo to send me a replacement one, hopefully it gets here today or Monday.

I used both the power point for the cigarette lighter and that provides a good source but you can also tap right into the plug for the deck if you know the wires. I did at one point but it's been a year.

FRD-04 AUX

Thanks guys for the info. I read alot of forums saying that it drains your battery and also heard not to reconnect the factory 16 pin. Whats that all about. I will install sometime today now that I know where to place the the 12v wire. Lets just hope I dont have a box that DOA.
