Freakin wires....

I have a 66 coupe that the previous owner graciously left most of the underdash wiring disconnected for me. I found a blue and black striped wire with an eyelet hidden by tape. After letting it dangle while trying to figure out why I had a 2 speed wiper switch with a one speed wiper motor, the eyelet touched something metal and sparked.... repeatedly. I have looked at a diagram and cannot figure out where it is suppose to go. Maybe to the ignition? I don't have anything special in the interior, no rally pac, no dome light, no door courtesy lights, no radio, fog lights, emergency flasher, console, or a/c. Can anyone help me out with this one? Thank you.

After stumbling around the forum I think this wire is a feed wire for the fog lights. Even though my car isn's a GT or have fog lights, it is pre-wired for them?

The blue/black for the clock is for the rally pac though. The fog light diagram shows a blue/black with an eyelet. I just don't know why it would be prewired even though it didn't come with them.

Has anyone ran across a black wire with a yellow female connector on it? I have one just hanging around under the dash. I've looked at the diagrams, but can't tell where it's coming from/going to.

WHere does it disappear into the harness in this diagram?

I think the ammeter had a red & yellow connector on the inst cluster. Is the connector a molded 90 degree plug?

May be black-green stripe? it is going to ignition switch. Other than that only heater fan uses thick wires but not black-yellow (if it is supposed to be in the cab). I also have a bunch of black-blue wires under dash waiting for their turn

It's for the radio. It might not be dangling if I had a radio installed already. Sorry I didn't mention that, still new here. Thank you guys for your trouble.
