I see this all the time, even on that one show on the speed channel. What do you all think? Anyone try this before? CLick the link and scroll down till you the inside of the MAF.

That's a mod that's been talked about for quite a while. I don't think it's worth it to take the chance in screwing up the MAF. I know I've see dyno results of that mod. I don't remember it being any more than a couple HP if even that.

Its not worth it. I swapped my stock meter for one with the post removed and that was fully polished on day at the track, I made a pass with mine, then swapped my electronics over to the one with the post removed and gained NOTHING... it doesn't get more apples to apples than that.

Yea, it's been argued over here. It's really not worth messing up your car. I mean, that MAF IS your driveabilty and all.

I've read plenty of horror stories about removing the post. You can find meters for cheap in the classifieds. People are upgrading all the time.

I removed my maf post and had no trouble at all. Perhaps this is less of an issue on a Cobra than on a GT?
