Hey everyone!
Merry winter, I hope you're doing good! it's been a while since I updated on the fox

I've been working on turning an Oldsmobile Cutlass I had prior into a reliable daily (1982, diesel v8 (yes it sucks)).
Here's the update:
Engine-wise it runs great! Learned things like timing and carb tuning and got it fairly dialed.
It still has an issue where it starves, so I'm suspecting the fuel pump isn't getting good enough voltage or just shouldn't be in the engine compartment.
Cooling system had signs of being bad: it revealed itself not to have a themostat installed and the place where it sits looked awfully dry... I tried filling it with coolant from there and it gurgled fine, so water pump is good and it probably just needed to be primed!
Exhaust fell off. We were planning on replacing the blown muffler with a friend but the whole thing broke (rust) at the dual-to-single junction behind the manifold.
ANY ADVICE ON GETTING AN EXHAUST AND MANIFOLD FOR A V6 MUSTANG WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
It seems my only bet is capri/taunus manifolds and a prayer that fitment won't be an issue. The rest will probably have to be custom made? Would anyone have any guru knowledge on this whole thing?
Also brakes! I'm in the process of remaking most of the hardlines, I refurbished the rear drums with new hardware and pistons and also replaced the master cylinder and rubber brake lines.
The bad part is that the car has sat outside and the sunroof ain't looking too good for it :/
Badly bubbled paint and the metal frame of the glass is clearly bulging upwards... Protected it with a tarp but that'll be first thing on the bodywork list...
Probably forgot some stuff but I'll update more regularly
Cheers!
