Fresh Off the Dyno...N/A and Nitrous #'s Inside!!!

I just got back from the dyno. I pulled 253.2 HP and 288.2 Trq. SAE naturally aspirated. Air/Fuel stayed between 12.9 and 13.2. On the nitrous, I pulled 366.9 HP and 462.2 Trq. SAE jetted for a 100 HP shot w/ the bottle pressure at only 850psi.!! Air/Fuel was stayed at around 12.6-12.9 with a high of 13.1. The N/A numbers are about what I expected, but, needless to say, I was rather impressed w/ the nitrous numbers. By the way, this was done on a DynoJet.

With the bottle pressure at around 1100psi, I think I would have been close to 400 HP and 500 Trq, but I didn't have enough time to get the pressure up. Either way, I'm very pleased.

I don't have a bottle heater, but I really don't need one here in Louisiana as it doesn't get too cold. Also, I have my own nitrous fill station so my bottle is always full. The reason my pressure was so low today was because when I put the bottle in the car it was at 1100psi, but when I got to the dyno shop my car sat out in the 90 degree heat for an hour or so. When I went back out my pressure had pegged my 1500psi guage, so I put the bottle in the deep freeze to get the pressure down. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get it back up in the hour I had the dyno rented for.

Put down the BS flags because these numbers are definately the real thing. Trust me, I have better things to do than make up fake dyno #'s to impress people I have never even met. I don't have a scanner but I will take a picture of the printed graphs with my digital camera.

I'll call BS on this one. No way you can get more than 100rwhp from a NOS 100hp dry shot. :notnice: The numbers are bogus IMO.

not with the air/fuel like he described , that is running a little bit towards the lean side , aggressive but still safe if he keeps it below 13.0

Here are the dyno graphs. I know the quality isn't great, but it's the best I could do on short notice.

It is well known that a NOS dry kit is rated at the crank not the rear wheels. If you're getting 100+ rwhp from the kit , it is either jetted incorrectly or EXTREMELY LEAN. Your A/F looks questionable on the dyno sheet. I would think 13:1 is risky with N2O. I would seriously get a tune. This is just my opinion so you be the judge , it's your car :D

yea I think with a tune the HP will come down some but the torque in the midrange might actually pickup unless its got too much timing in it in the midrange and up top which might be possible looks really rich about 3700 rpms which means there is more torque to be had ..... GET IT TUNED ...IMO...
