Freshmen killed my car.....

Well, I went out and had another look in the daylight. The clutch cable is all mucked up just above the bracket that attaches to the engine bay. It looks like the plastic around it was kinda melted and torn apart, and the wires are all mangled and bent. Looks like a new clutch cable will be on the way. I'm actually relieved that it was just the clutch cable.

Would some wire/thermal insulation stuff help for this? I think that the heat from the header might have had something to do with the failure.

Stinks to hear she's dead. Sounds like the cable contacted the header and melted?? ... Pretty hard for a cable to melt unless that happen....

On a side note, it's cool of you to try and help out the Freshies/Sophs. Not many people do that. I only let people I trust drive my car, but then again, it's a LOT more HP than most cars out there :P (347:nice: )

The last six cuts on your key from the bow work the ignition and the first six work the door trunk. Now if the last 2 cuts from the first six cuts are the same as the first 2 cuts for your ignition you can have the 2 parts of the key put onto one key.

These guys are in my squadron, we live together, and they assured me that they knew how to drive a stick...infact they drove nothing but stick at home. I just don't think they could handle the Spec Stage 3 clutch.
