Ha ha,serves you right.
Never lend your car to idiots or anyone else.

Lesson learned...the hard way unfortunately.

Well, I went out and had another look in the daylight. The clutch cable is all mucked up just above the bracket that attaches to the engine bay. It looks like the plastic around it was kinda melted and torn apart, and the wires are all mangled and bent. Looks like a new clutch cable will be on the way. I'm actually relieved that it was just the clutch cable.

Would some wire/thermal insulation stuff help for this? I think that the heat from the header might have had something to do with the failure.

Cool, I guess I'll see you in the air force in two years. I may have to give you some **** about being an Aggie though.

sorry forgot to add....since keys are double sided, you can have your 2 keys made into one....just have one side cut to the door and the other to your ignition.....its not that much to do....

Stinks to hear she's dead. Sounds like the cable contacted the header and melted?? ... Pretty hard for a cable to melt unless that happen....

On a side note, it's cool of you to try and help out the Freshies/Sophs. Not many people do that. I only let people I trust drive my car, but then again, it's a LOT more HP than most cars out there (347 )

The last six cuts on your key from the bow work the ignition and the first six work the door trunk. Now if the last 2 cuts from the first six cuts are the same as the first 2 cuts for your ignition you can have the 2 parts of the key put onto one key.

lets see, u lend your car out to a bunch of kids who have never been in a mustang before, let alone drive one. they have no idea how to drive stick. are you really surprised about the outcome here? it was inevitable for something like this to happen, even if it is just a clutch cable.

These guys are in my squadron, we live together, and they assured me that they knew how to drive a stick...infact they drove nothing but stick at home. I just don't think they could handle the Spec Stage 3 clutch.
