friggin magnaflows....what now???

Well....
I got some magnaflows welded in. I thought I was very specific in telling the people i wanted MAGNAPACKS. But the people are super nice, and the guy said I would like the tone. I love them between 2000 and 3000 rpm. The rest of the time I can't tell the difference from stock, unless I'm just goosing the gas peddle from idle. The tone is definitely deeper....I need to turn up the VOLUME on this exhaust. So now I can go with midpipe or ebay my magnaflows and get magnapack axleback.

WHAT SHOULD I DO???

Will a midpipe screw up any warranty work I might need in future?
I only have 8000 miles on a 2010?

SJPONY,
did you get your magnapacks put it in? How do you like them????

Offroad X Pipe, trust me. Also the Magnapacks will get louder once they break in a little bit.

I'm staying stock for now, as I'm looking for a GT500 so I need to save for that. I'm keeping the GT though and I'll start modding it soon.

I had the Pypes axle backs on my '07. They sounded sweet. Lound enough, but not annoying. There was a drone at around 55-60 in 5th gear, due to the fact the engine was at low rpm and seemed to need to be downshifted to 4th.

I know what you mean. I definately need to wake this thing up from a sound standpoint. Keep me updated and I'll let you know if I decide on the Pypes or something else again

Let them break in before you judge. I have the same ones and they sounded almost like stock when i got them, and now they are the perfect sound. Give them at least 1000 miles before you decide to go with a different mid pipe.

I have the magnapack cat back in my 07 and it sounds AMAZING. I get nothing but compiments. Its not one of those way too loud obnoxious, its juts right with amazing tone. so yes magnapacks would work, Id recommend cabgack that way you get more performance out of it and I think it sounds better, and yes the O/R X pipe or LT's will definately give you better sound and performance also

i can tell they are getting a little better in sound even after just 4 days. But if i take them back now-i can get them swapped instead of trying to resell the magnaflows. the magnapacks came in today, I'm suppose to call him for appointment tomorrow morning. He's gonna try to fit the magnapack mufflers into place for me. If not then I may go with a catted x and stick with regular magnaflows or maybe go with magnapack axleback with stock midpipe. i just dont want to wait a thousand miles before going with something else.--maybe i'm just being stubborn about it....

again, i'm not dissatisfied at all with the actual "sound", I just need to turn up the volume a bit.

Swap the regular magnaflows for the magnapacks. Try them 1st with the stock catted H and if that is too quiet, get a different midpipe.

Thats the plan. Hopefully he can get those paks in there. They arent made to fit like
the regular magnaflows. Gonna take more work. If i'm satisfied, i wont mess with the midpipe til later down the road. If the paks DONT fit, i have to figure out my next step.

auburntiger8685, i'm assuming you have the regular magnaflows and not the paks. Are you satisfied with the volume?

I guess i misread the thread. I thought you had magnapacks. I do have the magnapack axle back, part # 16574. If they didnt give you the right ones I would have them reinstall the magnapacks. I havent heard anything about the regular mufflers, but on magnaflows website they do sound a little quieter.
