Can someone answer this question, why didnt they just kill saddam when they found him, pisses me off that money is being spent on his trial and keeping him up in prision, would have been far better off giving him some of his on merciless medicine by killing him on the spot.......

Because we are trying to deprogram the Iraqis... all they know is death and torture and we're making a positive example out of him to show them that humility is best. They'll still kill 'em though don't you worry

In order to make a country less violent, you have to show them that there is another way, and give them something better to do than kill each other off, and that would be the hope of a future. Also if you teach them to read, they can interpret the Khuran for themselves, and not some power hungry ba$tards interpretation.

Actually.... he survived the blast, but died later, so he did suffer!!! He died as US Troops were giving him medical aid. Now I would be pissed if he survived, but I hope they gave him some rough CPR.

Yeah, a friend just told me today it took 10 mins for US troops to get to him and he died 10 mins after so that's 20 mins before death. He said he saw a photo and he looked fine, so he probably died from internal damage. I imagine it was probably pretty painful.
