Front brake/ spindle I.D. PLEASE

Just bought new wheels for the mustang, with the impression that I had 94-95 spindles and calipers on the front of my car. ( The car was purchased with the 5 lug conversion already done. ). I purchased the wheels with +24 MM offset and 5.94 on the backspace. Well guess what? They don't fit. They sit well past the fender, and they hit the dust caps. I have read that the rotors on 94-95 are seperate from the bearings, and mine are not. Could someone PLEASE identify what spindles/ calipers are on my car? If any more info is needed or any additional photos, please let me know. I think my only choice would be to replace the spindles if they are the wrong ones. I thought I had this all figured out. Just another piece to my now 2 year resto of this car. Thanks in advance.

looks like they just swapped out the rotors and used the stock spindles and brakes.

Those are stock spindles and brakes with a 5-lug SVO/Mark 7 rotor

Just my luck. I hope my money tree can sprot a few more dollars. It has been plucked pretty dry lately. It has been a neverending spending spree with this mustang. All part of having fun.
Any suggestions? I already now have the new wheels, so 94-95 spindles/ rotors/ calipers would be the next logical step?

You could try a 1/4" spacer. I particularly HATE spacers but it's still an option.

Upgrade the lugs as a safety measure and try some 1/4" spacers and bash the dust cap in. You could try some cheapo autozone spacers just to see if it will clear and then trash em and spend the money on quality spacers from Maximum motorsports and upgraded studs.

thats what i did, i have the baer brake kit with the modified fox spindle and it did the same thing i got the spacers and bashed the dust cover in.............. no probs since

I do not care about the dust caps. I can crush them in, but as the wheels sit now, they are sitting outside the wheelwell by about a 1/4 inch, maybe more. Looks terrible.

Forget spending money on spacers and upgraded studs and all that bs. You can find the correct 5 lug stuff for the front real cheap these days. Pull your setup off you have now and sell it and buy the correct stuff.

Check car-part.com for good deals, that's where I got my 95 spindles/hubs and I bought the 99+ calipers, rotors, hoses and pads off of Corral.

You are correct in thinking that. That's why I said to get the 94-95 spindles, can't go wrong with that. Good luck!

Newer Mustangs would be wider

94-95 spindles about 5mm
96-04 spindles about 8mm (14mm total more than Fox)

I sold a couple people on Stangnet 5 lug spindles from a 94-95. 1990Coupe was one of them. He has 18X9's with a +24mm offset from www.americanmuscle.com and they don't stick out at all. Ask him for some pics.
