Front bumper attachment

im getting ready to paint my 65 coupe and im shaving some of the unwanted holes from the emblems and the side scoop crome pieces. i have my bumper off and im think about closing off the bolt holes in the lower front of the fenders so if one day i decide to go with a front race valence and remove the bumper, i dont want the holes there...can i skip bolting the bumper on there and go with the 4 other bolts? or would my bumper shake around? thanks

Before you even consider deleting your front bumper, check your state's motor vehicle regulations....in some states it is illegal to NOT have a front bumper.

If you cover the hole in the fender you might get to much rattle of bumper bracket to fender and bumper to fender, best to use all the bolts......besides your bumper would look funny with a bolt missing on either end.

My car has never had the hold downs on the fenders and it doesn't rattle. Go for it!

Before you delete the hole you might also want to check that your bumper sits correctly without it being attached at the ends. Those end brackets are what keeps my aftermarket bumper from pointing down on the sides
