FRONT CALIPERS ???

I just painted my front calipers on my 91 LX 5.0. Should I put a coat of clear coat over the painted caliper?

I don't know how hot calipers get, so I figured I would ask the experts.

did you use caliper paint? If so you shouldnt need to a clear coat.

Yes, I used spray paint specifically made for brake calipers.

I just thought it might add another layer of protection so I don't have to respray every 6 months.

it wouldnt hurt unless you paint the area where the brake pads go. I used this poly paint that I had to brush on that handles 900+ degrees, so I only used one coat it turned to like rubber it was pretty cool.

but anyways it wouldnt hurt if you want to paint them more, go ahead
