Who first of all makes a good aftermarket front control arm, and second does anyone know of a company that makes a tubular control arm that still retains the modified macpherson front setup (using a coil spring and not a coilover that is)?

The Strut has nothing to do with the A arm.

If you want a a arm that retains the stock spring location, I believe PA makes them still. Check the search for them here and on the corral.

I am not sure, but coil over's are a nice option, do that first.

I rebuilt my controll arms, put in poly bushings and new ball joints, cost over $100 total, alot of time and energy, went coil-over after all, wasted my time/money, should have gone aftermarket A-arm.

Well i'm not the biggest fan of coilovers but it's the fact that i've got some nice bilsteins on all four corners that is makeing be not want to convert.

Who is PA by any chance? They arn't the same ones that make the sought-after alternators are they???

I think griggs might have something to work with that...or check with maximum motorsports, because there cars run tub. k-members/a-arms and they run thier bilstein struts.....id check with them. They are like handeling Gods.

I might have to give them a call. I have some of their rear control arms comeing soon but it seems that everyone makeing an aftermarket front control arm wants to make it to be used with a coilover kit only. Although Neither website shows at least one without a coilover setup on their web site so who knows.............

Well I don't have a wealth of knowledge on coilover setups except the basic design of them. Are there special shocks that have to be purchased for the coilover setup or is there a conversion kit that makes them able to be used with stock struts?

A coil over kit is quite simple. It contains a threaded sleeve that goes over the strut body and has a notch so it can rest where the spindle bolts onto the strut, then ther is a spring with stops on each side and a berring up top, this bolts on top of the strut mount but I am pretty sure you need aftermarket Camber/Castor plates to make it work.
