Hey so currently i have my 1989 fox torn down to the frame. The lower section of the strut tower has rusted out. my plan is to repair that part. i was thinking about tubing the front end as well but not 100% sure whats the best way to go about this project. would it be smart to replace the entire front frame past the fire wall? any info on what needs to be done is going to help me. also if anyone has some sort of diagram of the dimensions for the front end that would be awesome.

There is a thread around here that details the frame/shock tower replacement, they used a piece from a SN95 that worked, somebody here may admit it and post a link..I hope..
You likely will have to cut open some of the rusty area to get an idea of the extent of the damage. I think there are some replacement pieces available new.
As for 'clipping' the dog house, well getting a nother front clip that's straight and useable and grafting it to yours is a lot of work, may as well tube the front but that's a whole nuther list of parts/pieces.
It's a matter of skill (or bravery) and/or finances.
