Front Sway Bar End links and Bushings???

it is easy ... the only trick is if you are putting the car up, you might want to use ramps as opposed to a jack ...

as you probably know, the top part of the endlinks attach to the stabilizer bar.

lifting the car by the frame causes the springs to unload, which pushes the wheels towards the ground. this pushes the a-arms away from the stabilizer. so the side that still has the endlink will be under pressure, and on the other side, the distance between the hole in the stabilizer bar and the hole in the a-arm will be farther away from each other than they will be when the car is on the ground. that will make it hard to put the new endlinks in.

so use ramps to lift the car and it will be easier. either that or (like Cynthar said) jack up the a-arm to support it when replacing the endlinks.

swaybar bushings are easy too. there are 2 mounting points for the sway bar, each of which has 2 bolts. the bushings just slide on from the end. i used wd-40 to make them slide easier



btw, can someone post up a pic of their stock swaybar/endlink setup? that would give me an idea if i have my geometry correct. i had to fabricate some stuff to get my swaybar to clear the oil pan. (i asked for this in another thread i started a while ago, but peeps probably didn't see it because it got no responses)

the end links are just like long bolts. There is 2 bolts per side that holds the sway bar on. Its not too hard. Like chythar said they made a few different size sway bars for our cars so make sure you measure it perfectly. I don't remember how many times I had to take mine back for a different size cause they were wrong. I ended up getting a digital caliper to get the best measurement I could
