I've got conflicting info from my two mustang gurus...One says to install the front swaybar with the suspension unloaded (hanging), and the other says to install the swaybar with the wheels on and on level ground or ramps (loaded). Which one of these know it alls is right??? Doing the standard 1 1/8" front bar upgrade with poly bushing kit.

I've heard both meathods also.
the last time I called Stambar, they said its ok to install the bar while the car is in the air, but put it back on the ground when installing end links.
Id do the end links while on the ground, not up on ramps. im not sure if it matters or not.

i got lazy and just had mine intalled while i had the exhaust done (they saw the new sway bar in the car and offered ). they did in the air but on a drive on ramp. so that would be the same loading as if it were on the ground.

i don't see how it would affect it either way, the end links are not adjustable other than how tightly you squish the bushings.

the only reason it would make any difference is in trying to get the end links to line up for installation. if they do great, if not then you need to get the car on the ground or get the weight of the suspension on the wheels to install the end links. i had to do that with my falcon.

Did mine up in the air and then re tightend the end links with it sitting on the ground.
