Last year in Carlisle, there was a guy with an SN-95 who had made a custom front tilt hood. I was talking to him about it and he said it was a pain in the A$$.

He said he had to modify a lot including the cowl. It looked cool, but not sure I would want to hack my car up to do it. His looked real nice, but a lot of $$$$$$$ involved.

Can you imagine what a pain in the a** it would make it to work on the front of the engine? Other than the "Ooooooo!" factor at car shows, I fail to see the point.

When I got my Bimmer, I thought the same, but with how far it comes forward and the fact that the hood goes nearly vertical, it's actually really nice. I had to change the thermostat and housing a month ago, and i thought it was easier than having to lean under the hood when standing next to the car.
