I was trying to change out my waterpump and I ran into some bolts that are stuck, I put a good amount of pressure on them and they did not budge. I dont want to break them off into the block, what should I do?
You can try to *lightly* hammer the fasteners longitudinally (toward the motor, as if the heads were nail heads). The shocking might help break the threads free.
Damn.......... I really dont want to break them off ! I remember a stang I worked on broke a waterpump bolt and we had to drill it out and tap it with this special long tap. I guess i will just leave it alone for now.
