I don't know if this is old news or not, but aparently ford racing will be using the new boss302 block on all of their crate engines in 2007, including one with 500hp.

There is a thread in the 5.0 forums about the Boss block. From what I could tell, it will be used in crate engines, but not all of them. The prices for Boss-blocked crates will supposedly start in the $4000+ range. I'm still trying to find out if they will need finish machining on top of the $1760 price tag. If they do, I'd rather pay extra for the extras included in a Dart.
