This idea just came to my mind for some reason. If I wanted some 3.90 Gears, but wanted them to be FRPP Gears, could I just use the 39 tooth ring gear from a set of 3.55's and a 10 tooth pinion from a set of 4.10's to get a 3.90 gear ratio. Sounds good on paper, but would this work? I guess the remaining ring&pinion would make a set of 3.73's.

*Edit
I guess if it actually worked, there would be no reason why Ford wouldnt sell 3.90 gears. I think I'll go to bed now and stop coming up with crazy ideas.

Just guessing also, but I would think that the gears would have to be cut for each other.

Exactly. It could work, but the rear would have to be set up extremely tight, and it still might make noise. You'd be running a great risk of having the pinion eat the ring gear.

Haha. Oh wait, you're on the East Coast so it is 9:30 there. Nevermind, you're a bum.
