Got it back!

Dropped it off Wed. morning and got her back Wed. night. All I can say is ...wow! It's a different car now. Sound is perfect, no drone on the freeway, loud as hell when I want it. Power was always great, now is awesome. I can dump into second at 4k rpm and spin the rubber off the tires for as long as I stay on the gas.

I will try to get to Dragway 42 and get some slips posted up.

Props to Gillingham Ford, they were great.

So now my question, I know we had this discussion b4 that price was around a grand.....But with the tune and that, does ford still warranty the powertrain and that. Don't know much about the modifications, I just know I read something before about alot of #8 going bad and ford voiding warranties because of tunes.

Yep, $1,000.00 and full warranty. This was the Ford Racing product installed at a dealership.

nice, how much did it effect the sound. That's my only complaint about the car is it's way to quiet. I don't know if that set would even get the sound I would perfer. Little drone doesn't bother me, I want something loud and abnoxious what can I say, it's my toy

It adds quite a bit of volume. I would say it's comparable to a Roush in volume and tone. When you punch it, it will scream.

What does warranty cover?

I just ordered a 2012 GT and asked the dealer about installing the FRPP tune. They cited the TSB and said it would void the warranty. Is your dealer honoring the original vehicle warranty, or will you be under a Ford Racing warranty? If under Ford Racing, do you know what this covers?

I complained to Ford Motor Corp about the skip shift and told them that the Ford Racing tune would remove it. They replied that I could have the dealer install it and still maintain factory warranty. Very pleased with the results.

Is it still the same 6yr/60k mile warranty or do they cut it down to a 3/36?

I have a roush cai and slp loud mouth exhaust,I got the frpp tune and its a night and day difference. Biggest problem I have now is traction. There is such a torque increase that you can shred the tires into forth gear. Its totally worth the money, enjoy man.

Yea, traction is an issue now with the power pack installed. I'm looking at American Racing wheel/tire staggered combos...can't wait to get it to the track in the spring.
