I heard from a couple people that these are identical arms. Can anyone prove it? Same part number? Anything?

Thanks

I've heard they are the same.

Take the time and weld a metal plate across the open face of the arms to box them. It will really help out

Same here. The dealer offers the 93 Cobra pieces for $40 a piece (canadian).. so less than $100 for the uppers.

Hopefully they are the same, if not, i can only see the bushing being any different. The arm itself looks identical, as do the stock mustang upper control arms though. The only difference with the HD's the bushing right?

I'm not sure this would be a wise idea.. the whole point of buying HD upper's is to allow enough flex in the upper control arms to prevent binding in the rear suspension. This is why boxed uppers are not a good idea. This is coming from a street driven point of view. In a strip ONLY car, boxed uppers are perfect and so are solid bushings because you don't need to worry about the suspension binding when cornering...

I think i'll go with the 93 cobra uppers either way, can't be that much of a difference.

I put my stock arms next to these HD arms, they're the same. Just the chassis bushings are stiffer in the HD arms.

Yeah, you can replace them. I've heard it's a major pain in the butt. The HD's are pretty cheap. By the time you find and buy the bushings, plus the pain to replace them, it's probably worth it to just put new ones on.

Probably a good choice, MM recommends using them and I think thet know what they're talking about.

I've heard from some people that they're the same, but that was just recently. Since it's just the bushings that differ, it's probably hard to tell even putting all of them side-by-side.

Well, i'm using hard urethane bushings on the axle end so if the cobra uppers have soft bushings, all the better.

I bought the MM axle bushings, they match the compound in the FRPP uppers.
