I got a new 5.0! its going to be my ongoing project. I do have one little problem right now.... The fuel door switch in the glove box isnt working so I opened the hatch to look for the manual fuel door release, which is this handle with a line connected to it however when I pulled on it, not only did nothing happen but the line wasn't connected to anything. It just pulled out from under the carpet. The previous owner has dynomat in the car so maybe he covered the rest of the line running to the switch. Do you guys know how this thing works/hooks up? I don't even see how it would go.

yeah, I believe it was a factory option, mine has it. There's a little plastic finger deal that holds against a metal tab that keeps the door closed. I would try and jump the 2 wires behind the switch or try and find where it connects

Ya I have an 89 5.0 and have had to open the door by droping the glove box then remove the switch from the botton I beleve it is the orange one and jump the switch to release the latch be careful not to blow the fues it is the 15amp in slot 16 next to the drivers side door.

Very true.... the thought of just buying a 03 cobra still lurks around in my mind but then so does making large monthly payments, a lot more for insurance and just the fact that there is something about a nicely done 5.0. Im working on getting some pictures up of the new project

Buy it and keep the fox!!! You only live once and from the looks of things the foxes are becoming more desireable. But the newer cobras sure are nice!:D
