Fuel door warning light...

My warning light for my fuel door being open came on the other day, tried to stop and pop it of/back on to get off, but it won't agree with me. Ive tried several times taking it out and turing engine on off to reset it, still stays on. If it doesnt stop after i pull the battery off, then Ford's going to have some fun with this one, hope this isnt a sign of soon to come 05 bugs. :damnit:

You could have gotten some water in it while washing your car or it could even be a sign of some bad fuel. Otherwise, try to disconnect the negative connection on your battery for 10 mins and see if that helps.

This happened to me the day after I got the replacement fuel tank. I waited a week and the light never went away. Took it to the dealership where I got it installed and they fixed it real quick.

Well it was on this morning after startup but then vanished within 5min of driving, strange.... and i havnt done anything to my car, like wash, gas up etc.

Yeah this happened to me. It appears as if a piece of metal that is suppose to go down and shut off when your fuel cap is screwed in has broken off, It looks pretty hard to fix and/or expensive
