Fuel Fuel Filler Neck Housing Removal

Quick question:
The more I look at all this overspray on this plastic housing, the more I need to remove it, clean it up, and put it back in.
I’m assuming I just need to remove the hatch interior panel?

Yup, with the filler neck removed, it comes out from the hatch after loosening up that interior panel

Perfect, that’s what I thought. I was ready to put the filler neck and tank back, but I just can’t let that go. I have to clean it up and get it back to black.

I think you can get it out from under the car, if I remember when I did mine I took out that big rubber panel gasket but it's been a while.
Tape up that gas door and the surrounding area on the quarter panel so you don't scratch that nice paint.

Couple screws on the hatch trim, and it came right out!

Don’t mind my piece of molding holding up the hatch.
Hatch struts are on the list somewhere!

Hatch struts were the items I wasn't keen on waiting to replace...I'm over 6' tall, so banging my head on stuff loses it's entertainment value incredibly fast
